Rev. Cameron Schnarr,
Andrea, Caleb and Hannah
Pastor Cameron Schnarr was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Pastor James and Catherine Schnarr. He lived there for two years before moving to Ajax, Ontario for a mission call his father received. In Ajax his sister Christa was born. As the children grew up, his mother Catherine went back to work as a school teacher, and Pastor James Schnarr took a call to Hamilton, Ontario where he remains today. From the age of 8 onward, Cameron lived in the city of Hamilton. He took his undergraduate degree in Business at McMaster University, and a post-graduate in Public Relations at Mohawk College.
After his first year of Business, Cameron entered the Naval Reserve as a MARS Officer for employment in the summer. This led to a professional career as a navigator that continues to this day. He spent five summers sailing warships on both of our country's coasts, having seen places from Anchorage, Alaska to St. John's, Nfld. He was also involved in the men's volleyball teams for both of his post-secondary schools.
During his post-graduate in Public Relations Christa introduced him to his wife Andrea, who was studying physiotherapy at McMaster and playing waterpolo with Christa for the university. Andrea is a physiotherapist who has experience in both clinic and hospital settings. Together Cameron and Andrea have two children, Caleb and Hannah.
Pastor Cameron Schnarr took his M. Div. at Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary in St. Catharines where he majored in practical theology. He served his vicarage at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Saskatoon, and wrote his master's treatise on Christian meditation.
